Fees

In accordance with the ethical rules governing the legal profession, fees are set based on several factors, including:

• the time spent on the case
• the nature and complexity of the case
• the importance of the interests involved and the issues at stake

Three billing methods may be used:

• hourly rate: the hourly rate depends on the technical nature of the case, its complexity, the urgency, or the subject matter involved.
• cap fees: for clearly defined services, such as drafting a legal memorandum, an audit, or drafting an environmental provision, a detailed estimate is provided in advance for complete transparency on the cost.
• where applicable, on a contingency basis, when the nature of the case allows (certain litigation actions, negotiations, compensation) and in addition to a mandatory fixed fee.

Fees are also subject to VAT, which is currently 20%.

Before any work begins, you will receive a letter of engagement detailing the scope of the assignment, the objectives, the methodology, the fees, and the estimated time frame.
